Hey, I’m Shane.
Let’s go do something.

I started Shenandoah Wild because I like being outside, meeting people, and seeing what happens when you actually go do the thing.
Fishing, kayaking, challenges, unexpected adventures. Sometimes there’s cash involved. Sometimes there’s just a good conversation with somebody I didn’t know that morning.
This is homegrown outdoor entertainment from Virginia. If you’re up for a little adventure, you’re in the right place.

RAT.
A little tackle.
A reason to get out.
The idea: a pocket-sized tin with a few useful lures for a quick trip to the creek. Something you actually take outside.
We’re figuring out the fit, testing the contents, and keeping an eye on cost. No launch date or orders yet.

About the readings & map
Water observations come from USGS and are provisional, subject to revision. Each measurement has its own timestamp. A reading more than six hours old is not shown as current. “Gauge level” is the height at that station, not the water depth across the river. Conditions here are not a paddling or swimming safety assessment.
Live requests are cached briefly on your device. If USGS cannot be reached, any saved readings are clearly labeled. Adventure markers show approximate areas, not exact fishing spots or launch access. Base map © OpenStreetMap contributors.
